Yizkor Appeal – Passover 2020
We have issued a Passover Yizkor appeal via mail, in view of our shutdown due to the current pandemic crisis.
We hope that you will be able to contribute. You can do so through the Donation page of the website using PayPal or mail a check directly to the office.
Than you in advance for your contribution.
The mail’s content is copied below.

All of us at the VCJC hope that you are doing well and staying safe and healthy during these unusual and upsetting times.
As you probably know, the Jewish calendar has four Yizkors scheduled during which prayers are said for departed relatives and others. In addition to the Yizkor at Yom Kippur and the one shortly after that during Shemini Atzeris, there is a Yizkor service at the end of Passover (now), and another coming up during Shavous (in about 2 months). It is traditional to offer charity as part of Yizkor.
At the moment, we are closed because of the pandemic and you cannot attend services at the VCJC. In addition, the office is closed. Nevertheless, we have ongoing expenses, including payroll and utilities. We hope that you will continue the tradition of giving charity and that VCJC will figure in that gift. Frankly, VCJC depends on your generosity to continue as a viable organization.
Because the office is closed, we offer you the option to donate using PayPal through our website. You do not need a PayPal account to donate through PayPal, only a credit card. If this is not convenient or possible, then by all means please send a check to the office.
Donations using PayPal through the website can be easily made at https://vcjewishcenter.org/donations/.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and generosity!
Robert Gillman, President,
And the Executive Committee of VCJC
P.S. Our apologies if you receive this request more than once, possibly through more than one channel of communication.
